SOC 2 Compliance Services in Gurugram

SecureRoot Risk Advisory LLP runs SOC 2 readiness and audit support for Gurugram companies from its branch office in Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh. Our readiness fee is a published band of ₹1.5 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh, fixed in writing after scoping. A Type 1 is measured in months rather than weeks, and a Type 2 adds an observation window of three to twelve months on top of that. The report itself is signed by a licensed CPA firm and not by us: SecureRoot is not a CPA firm and does not issue SOC 2 reports. You contract with that firm directly and it invoices you its own fee, so you will receive two bills and only one of them is ours.

Services

What We Deliver Here

The SOC 2 Programme

Everything on either side of the audit itself: scoping the Trust Services Criteria that belong in your report, the gap assessment, control design and remediation, evidence automation, and support through the CPA firm's fieldwork.

Evidencing the Controls

A SOC 2 asks you to show that security controls operated, not that a policy described them. The same team tests the systems in scope and reviews the cloud configuration and hardening an auditor will ask about.

What a Gurugram Customer Asks For Next

A North American customer asks for SOC 2; an Indian enterprise buyer or regulator asks about the DPDP Act, and often ISO 27001 as well. The control work overlaps heavily, so scoping them together costs less than doing them twice.

How It Runs

How a SOC 2 Engagement Runs With Us

Readiness is ours, the attestation is the CPA firm's, and the two clocks stay separate throughout so a date your customer has given you can actually be planned against.

  1. 01

    A Scoping Call

You hear back within one business day. A 30 to 45 minute call establishes which Trust Services Criteria your customer is really asking about, whether a Type 1 or a Type 2 answers the request, and what date you are working to.

  2. 02

A Written Scope and a Fixed Readiness Fee

What is in scope, the phases, the timeline and a fixed price for our part, in writing. The CPA firm quotes its fee separately. We do not present an all-in number, because the part we do not control would be a guess sitting inside it.

  3. 03

    Gap Assessment, Remediation and Evidence

We assess the control set against the criteria in scope, close what is missing, and set up evidence collection so the audit draws on records that accumulate automatically rather than on a scramble in the week fieldwork starts.

  4. 04

Working Backwards From the Observation Window

A Type 2 requires the auditor to observe your controls operating, commonly three to twelve months, and the examination and report-writing sit after that window closes rather than inside it. If a customer wants a Type 2 report by a date, that window is what the start date is calculated from.

  5. 05

    The CPA Firm's Fieldwork

We introduce partner CPA firms during scoping, you choose between them and contract directly, and we support you through their evidence requests. The report carries the auditor's name. We never sign, issue or certify it. On the next question a Gurugram buyer usually asks, because competing pages advertise it: SecureRoot is not a CERT-In empanelled auditing organisation, and empanelment is a separate scheme that has no bearing on who may sign a SOC 2 report.

The Office

Why the Greater Noida West Office Matters

Most SOC 2 work is control design, evidence plumbing and document review, which runs well remotely and suits a Gurugram client working with a team based at Golden-I in Greater Noida West. The branch earns its place for the sessions that are genuinely better in a room: scoping, the walkthroughs where your engineers explain how a system actually behaves rather than how the diagram says it does, and the readiness review before the CPA firm's fieldwork begins. For those we travel to your office in Gurugram rather than claim an address we do not hold there. We have not published a fixed number of on-site days included in the fee, so we are not going to quote one here; it is agreed on the scoping call and written into the engagement.

Being in your time zone is the practical part. An auditor's evidence request or a customer's security questionnaire gets answered during your working day, and the people running your programme are reachable when your team is at its desks.

Service Area

Where Our Gurugram Clients Sit

The business districts the work actually comes from, and what the teams there are usually being asked for.

  • Cyber City and Udyog Vihar

Enterprise SaaS and IT services teams whose North American customers put a SOC 2 report in the procurement pack before signing.

  • Golf Course Road and the Extension

Fintech and lending platforms, usually asked for SOC 2 and the DPDP Act in the same diligence questionnaire.

  • Sohna Road and Sectors 48 to 57

Product companies at the stage where a Type 1 answers the immediate request and a Type 2 is the following year's work.

  • Manesar and the IMT

Manufacturing and logistics technology teams whose scope takes in operational systems as well as a SaaS platform.

  • The rest of Delhi NCR

Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad, covered from the same branch office on the same terms.

We do not keep an office in each of these places and will not pretend to. Delivery is from the Greater Noida West branch and remotely, with on-site days where the work needs them, and the same team serves clients elsewhere in India.

Questions

What Clients Ask Us

Something here not covered? Ask Us Directly.

How much does SOC 2 cost in Gurugram, and why are there two invoices?

Because two firms do two different jobs, and a single all-in figure hides the split. Our readiness and audit-support fee is a published band of ₹1.5 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh, fixed in writing after scoping. The CPA firm's attestation fee is separate, quoted by that firm, invoiced by it, and not SecureRoot revenue; our cost guide puts the indicative market range at ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh for a Type 1 and ₹5 lakh to ₹12 lakh for a Type 2. If you use a compliance platform, its vendor bills you annually and that recurs whether or not you are mid-audit. Your own team's time is the fourth line and the one most quotes leave out entirely. Any single number you are shown for Gurugram is either excluding one of those lines or guessing at a fee the consultant does not set.

Who signs our SOC 2 report, and how do we check them before signing anything?

A licensed CPA firm signs it, under the AICPA attestation standards, and it must stay independent of whoever designed and implemented the controls. That is precisely why we cannot sign yours. Run the same four checks on any firm you are offered, including the ones we introduce. Ask for the CPA firm's name and the state board it is licensed with, then verify that licence on the board's own register rather than on a consultant's page. Ask whether the firm is enrolled in AICPA peer review. Ask who at that firm signs, and confirm the engagement letter is between you and them rather than routed through us. Ask for the fee in writing from them. We make the introduction during scoping and you contract directly, so none of that passes through our invoice.

Do you work with our existing CPA firm, or do you bring your own?

Either, and bringing your own is genuinely fine. If you already have a CPA firm that performs SOC 2 examinations, we work alongside it and support you through its evidence requests exactly as we would with a partner firm. If you do not, we introduce the partner firms we work with during scoping, you choose between them, and you contract with the one you pick directly. What does not change in either case is the independence requirement: the firm signing your report cannot be the firm that designed and implemented your controls, which is the reason we sit on one side of that line and stay there. We take no share of the attestation fee and no referral payment, so we have nothing riding on which firm you choose.

Do I need an on-site consultant in Gurugram, or can this run remotely?

Mostly remote, with on-site days where the work genuinely needs a room. Control design, evidence automation, policy work and document review do not improve by being done in person, and insisting otherwise mainly adds travel to your bill. What is better face to face is scoping, the walkthroughs where your engineers explain how a system actually behaves rather than how the diagram says it does, and the readiness review before the CPA firm starts fieldwork. We travel to your Gurugram office for those from the Greater Noida West branch. We have no office in Gurugram and will not pretend otherwise. We have also not published a fixed on-site day count, so it is agreed during scoping and written into the engagement rather than quoted on a web page.

Should we start with SOC 2 Type 1 or Type 2?

Start with whatever the customer asking for the report will accept, because commercially that is the only question that matters. A Type 1 reports on whether your controls were suitably designed at a point in time, so it can be delivered comparatively quickly and is often enough to unblock a deal while the longer work runs. A Type 2 reports on whether those controls operated effectively across an observation window, commonly three to twelve months, and the examination and report-writing follow after that window closes rather than inside it. Many Gurugram teams take a Type 1 to answer the immediate request and a Type 2 the following year, which is a sensible sequence rather than a shortcut. What we will not do is promise a Type 2 faster than the observation window allows, because nobody can.

Should a Gurugram company do SOC 2 or ISO 27001 first, and where does the DPDP Act fit?

Do whichever one a customer has actually asked for first, and scope the others against it rather than running them in sequence. ISO 27001 certifies an information security management system and an accredited certification body issues the certificate; SecureRoot is not an accredited ISO certification body, so that certificate comes from the body and never from us. SOC 2 is an attestation report written by a CPA firm for your customer's auditors to read. The DPDP Act is Indian law and applies whatever any customer asks, with the core obligations enforceable from 13 May 2027. The control work overlaps heavily across all three, which is why doing them together costs considerably less than doing them one at a time, and that overlap is the first thing we map on the scoping call.
